Reasoning Arrangements

Many students consider this topic as one of the most difficult topics in bank exams but in reality this is one area where students can fetch marks easily. But in the recent past these questions became little tough as arrangements are combined with assignment of objects, professions, oranisations etc. In this chapter we present you a detailed way of doing arrangement questions.

Arrangements should be done with great attention otherwise if somebody get struck in the end, they have to start from beginning which leads to wastage of time. So certain rules for arrangements are to be followed strictly.

Rules:
1. First count the number of people of people / objects to be arranged
2. Directions sense is quite important in case of arrangements. In a linear arrangement where a person is facing north, directions with respect to him are as followed.

Left<---   Up Arrow  ---> Right (directions with respect to that person)

3. For a person facing south the directions with respect to him are as followed

Right <---  Down Arrow  ---> Left (directions with respect to that person)

4. In case of a circular arrangement for a person facing center left with respect to hi, is in clock wise direction and right is anti clock wise direction.

5. In case of a circular arrangement if a person facing outside left of that person is Anti clock wise directions right of him is clock wise directions

6. Understand the statement correct way
    i) A is second to left of B but ( and / while ) third to right of C
C - - A - B
The above statement is referring to A only
ii) A is second left of B who is third to right of c
C A -  B

7. When the person in the statement has no relation with the already arranged people then we should wait till we get some reference or else try all the possibilities. In the first case we have to arrange them outside the circle and then try to fit that into the arrangement later on.

Types of Arrangement:

Linear Arrangements
Circular Arrangements
Complex Arrangements
